EQUIGEN® Hemostatic Collagen Sponge
Introducing EQUIGEN®, a sterile and absorbable collagen sponge with a rapid hemostatic effect. This innovative medical product, manufactured by Zurich Corp, is your solution for controlling bleeding in various surgical applications, especially when traditional hemostasis methods prove challenging or non-absorbable materials are undesirable.
Key Features:
- Sterile and Sponge Structure: EQUIGEN® is produced under strict sterile conditions, and its unique sponge structure is suitable for a wide range of surgical procedures.
- Fast Hemostatic Effect: Experience rapid hemostasis within 1 to 2 minutes, ensuring efficient control of bleeding during surgery.
- Fully Resorbable: EQUIGEN® is fully resorbable through enzymatic resorption and hydrolysis, eliminating the need for removal and minimizing complications.
- No Tissue Reaction: EQUIGEN® is crafted from the highest purified Type I Collagen and poses no risk of harmful tissue reactions or hypersensitivity.
- Quick Resorption: With a resorption time of 4-6 days in contact with blood, EQUIGEN® supports natural healing without complications.
- Collagen from Fish Origin: EQUIGEN® is sourced from fish origin, ensuring purity and quality in every application.
- Enhanced Coagulation: EQUIGEN® adheres to the bleeding site, absorbing approximately 50 times its weight, and promotes coagulation by catching blood platelets and activating the coagulation cascade.
- Compatibility: EQUIGEN® can be used simultaneously with antibiotics, chemotherapeutic medications, or thrombin without diminishing its hemostatic efficacy.
Application is straightforward. EQUIGEN® can be used in dry form or after immersion in physiological saline or thrombin. Squeeze the sponge to remove air bubbles, apply it to the site of hemorrhage, and hold in place for approximately 15 seconds. The sponge may remain in place (after strict aseptic measures have been taken), and the wound can be closed as the sponge is fully absorbable.
